Hydrogen The Ultimate Anti-Oxidant

I just read an article about Hydrogen written by Dr. Mike Foster in Natural Medicine NZ magazine

"Molecular hydrogen is the smallest molecule in the universe and as a gas soluble in water and fat. This gives a huge advantage over other antioxidants because it can diffuse into every cell and mitochondria in the body as well as the brain. Many other anti-oxidants are too large to get where they are needed."

I first became aware of molecular hydrogen as a supplement and antioxidant in late 2015 during my visit to Alkaviva USA where I do import my Water ionizers. I have been using ever since It has done a huge difference my health and well being. happy to share if anyone interested in

How Can Ionized Water Help You?

Restructured, ionized, alkaline water may be the nearest thing we ever find to the proverbial fountain of youth.

Energy, One of the first things most people notice when they begin to drink ionized water is an improvement in their energy. When you improve the efficiency of this foundational substance in your body, you are bound to have more energy - especially when that substance is a factor in every function in your body!

Even more so when that substance is responsible for the greater part of your energy in the first place.

Detoxification is the body's natural way of removing or neutralizing toxins. However, without sufficent energy, nutritional resources, and adequate water, toxins end up being tucked away where they are least likely to affect criticital bodily functions. Nothing supports the body's cleansing and elimination like good water. Water hydrates the blood and the lymph so toxins can move rapidly through the detoxification pathways. Water is also a major factor in enzymatic processes that breakdown toxic compounds.

And water is obviously important during the final stage of elimination, lubricating the intestines and providing the basis of urine. When you improve the quality and efficacy of the water you drink, detoxification pathways function more effectively and toxins can be eliminated on a timely basis.

Our body is always getting rid of toxins. Occasionally, people experience cleansing symptoms. Our body uses the same mechanism to remove stored toxins that is used to remove bacteria and viral infections, so cleansing symptoms can sometimes be similar to having a mild cold or the flu.

Cleansing symptoms may include fatigue, skin eruptions, coughing, loose bowels, etc. If you have any of these symptoms, drink more ionized + alkaline water to support your body as it flushes the toxins and wastes from your system.

Vitamin D

Much has been written about the need for and benefits of vitamin D supplementation over the past several years - and with good reason. It's critical for our health and almost 50% of the western world are deficient in vitamin D.

We can get vitamin D from food and sunshine. Seafood is the only significant source of vitamin D, but one still has to eat a lot of it to get enough. 220 to 250 grams of oily fish like sardines, provides about 2000 IU vitamin D which is the minimum daily requirement for most people to maintain adequate blood levels.

Sunlight converts a  precursor called 7-dehydro- cholesterol in our skin to vitamin D3. along with the D3 we get from food, gets converted by the liver into 25 hyrdroxy-vitamin D (25D) which is what typically gets measured when you have a vitamin D test.

Optimal level is somewhere between 30 and 50ng/ml.

What about the sunlight ?

Well, in summer mid-day sun with pale skin, 30 minutes of direct sunlight will produce 10-20,000 IU of vitamin D. This is best scenario. With darker skin, different times of the year, buildings that block the sunlight, or increased time spent indoors, we won't be producing that much. It's also true that aging, why sunlight alone isn't normally a sufficient source of vitamin D.

It's very important to test your 25D levels first and then begin supplementation. Re-tests after a few months is equally important to determine the correct maintenance dose.

As with vitamin A, the best source of vitamin D is high-vitamin cod liver oil. It contains not only vitamins A&D, but also natural vitamin E and other quinines.

In next week's blog, we will look at "Magnesium".

Which nutrients should you consider supplementing with ?

Vitamin A (retinal)

Vitamin A is an important catalyst for a variety of bio-chemical processes in the body. It is required for assimilation of protein, mineral and water-soluble vitamins. It also acts as an antioxidant, protecting the body against free radical damage and diseases like cancer. Vitamin A plays a crucial role in reproduction, promoting full-term pregnancy and the proper development of the face (eyes, nose, dental arches & lips).

Vitamin A is found in significant amounts in organ meats, if you eat organ meats (especially liver), you are probably getting enough vitamin A and thus won't need to supplement.

Vitamin A can be potentially toxic. An excess of vitamin A increases the risk of osteoporosis. Researcher Chris Master john summarizes evidence demonstrating that vitamin D decreases the toxicity of and increases the dietary requirement for vitamin A. Studies show that supplementing with vitamin D radically increases the toxicity threshold of vitamin A.

If you do not eat organ meat, you can take supplements of cod liver oil - it is an ideal vitamin A source because its also contains vitamin D.

But not all cod liver oil is created alike. It is important to choose a brand that contains the naturally occurring vitamins, rather than synthetic vitamins. Whether the cod liver oil processed is equally important -  it contains fragile fatty acids that are susceptible to damager by heat, so it is best to choose a brand that uses fermentation or another cold-processing method.

My next blog will touch on Vitamin D

Supplement Wisely

In a perfect world, none of us would ever need to take supplements. We'd be able to meet all of our nutritional needs through food, our sleep would be deep and restful, we'd get plenty of exercise, we'd live in a pristine environment without chemicals and toxins, engage in meaningful relationship and we'd have plenty of time for leisure and fun. We would have been born naturally to a mother that was equally healthy, been breastfed exclusively for two years, ate a "real food" diet throughout our entire childhood and never taken antibiotics.

If this describes your life, you need not read any further.

If this doesn't describe your life,

i.e. You don't sleep as much as you'd like, You are stressed out, You work in a sedentary setting, You live in a city exposed to chemicals and toxins every day. Your mom might have cancer and it looks like she has passed those genes down to you. Or you took antibiotic for acne as a teenager, and now your gut is screwed up....

Please continue to read my blogs.

A clean diet is the best possible starting place, but it's not always enough to solve chronic health problems. This is where supplementation can be extremely valuable....

My next blog will continue on with this topic....

Stress Management Practices and Techniques

There's a certain amount of stress in modern life that is simply unavoidable for most of us. That's why it's so crucial to have a regular stress management practice.

Meditation can certainly have an effect on stress management. To me, meditation is an awareness practice. Through meditation we learn to witness our thoughts, feelings and sensations and disassociate with the story we tell ourselves about them. We learn to stay presently to our lives even in the face of great difficulty or pain. We usually get relax during the meditation.

Mindfulness-based stress reduction combines mindful meditation and yoga to cultivate greater awareness of unity of mind and behaviours that undermine emotional, physical, and spiritual health.

Yoga is a great choice of stress management for several reasons. First, it's a movement-based practice which is often suitable for people who are new to stress management or who have very busy minds and find it difficult to sit still. Secondly, yoga is often practiced in a group or class setting, which has additional benefits. Thirdly, because of its popularity, it's now easy to find a class in most places.

Bio-feedback is a process of becoming aware of the body's physiological functions. Specialised sensor deliver information about blood pressure, heart rate, skin temperature, and muscle tension which the participant uses to learn to modify his or her physiological response to stress. Bio-feedback reduces stress and anxiety in groups of people who are highly stressed such as nursing students and Physicians. It also reduces chronic pain associated with stress to improve sleep in soldiers in combat zones and to lessen pre-operative anxiety in children with cancer.

Action Summary:

Make stress management a high priority

Reduce the amount of stress you experience

Mitigate the harmful effects of stress you can't avoid

Practice regular stress management techniques like mediation, mindfulness based stress reduction, yoga or bio-feedback.

How you become acidosis without knowing it ?

I today's world, most people's bodies and interstitial fluids are more acidic than they should be. This is the direct result of poor diet(heavy in sugar, soft drinks, excess protein, refined carbohydrates), dehydration, stress, and enviromental pollutants. Each of these contributes to acidosis - unfortunetly also to disease and premature aging. Besides the consequences mentioned above, acidosis reduces your ability to absorb minerals and nutrients. It reduces energy production and slows cellular regeneration. Acidosis is responsible for hardening of the arteries and it makes you more susceptible to fatigue and illness. In an overly acidic body, maintaining normal blood pH is diffucult; sometimes your body has no choice but to pull alkaline minerals from organs and other tissues - as well as bones and teeths.

When water is ionized, alkaline minerals(with a positive Charge) are attracted to the negative charge on the hydroxyl ion (OH-) and are concentrated on one side of the ionization chamber producing what is referred to as alkaline water.

Alkaline water has a Ph that is between 10 and 1000 more alkaline than the starting water, depending on the minerals in the original water and the pH setting you choose. Drinking the alkaline portion of ionized water provides an abundance of alkaline minerals which help to neutralize acidic wastes in your body.

Alkaline water also contains more oxygen. At a pH of 7. water has an equal concentratin of hydrogen ions (H+) and hydroxyl (OH-)ions. But as the pH increases, so does the percentage of negative(OH-) ions. When you drink alkaline water, you are drinking water with more oxygen - not in the form of O2, but in the form of OH-which is stablised because of its combination with an alkaline mineral. Once inside your body, two hydroxyl ions can form a water molecule (H2O) and give off an oxygen atom. in this way, the alkaline mineral is used to neutralize acids and the hydroxyl ion is released to supply oxygen to you cell.

R Parlak

WHAT PH HAS TO DO WITH THE WATER WE DRINK ?

The term "pH" refers to "potencial of hydrogen" which measure of the hydrogen ion (H+) concentration and also a measure of acidity or alkalinity.

The Ph scale ranges from 0  to 7 (acidic) 7 is (neutral) from 7 to 14 is alkaline. The pH scale is logarithmic, so achange of one pH unit indicates a tenfold shift in the concentration of hydrojen ions. For example: a pH of 6 is ten times more acidic than a pH of 7, and it is 100 times more acidic than a pH of 8. You can see how slight shift in pH can be quite significant.

In human body, pH is critical - especially in your blood. pH range considered to be normal for blood is between 7.30 and 7.45. Blood pH is a direct indicator of much oxygen is available for cells. Blood at a pH of 7.45 contains 65% more excess oxygen than blood 7.3. Lack of oxygen and resulting metabolic acidosis is a component of just about every disease we know.

Acccording to Dr. Otto Warburgs research cancer could not live in an oxygen-rich enviroment. His research has provided evidence that oxygen - starved cells switch to another mechanism for producing energy - one that doesn't require oxygen and one that is capable of surviving in an acidic enviroment. Most disease has linked with the lack of oxygen and the build -up of acidic wastes. Blood with a pH of 7.3 is also thinner than blood with a more acidic pH. Acid is partially responsible for blood clotting. A lowerblood pH means thicker blood that is more diffucult to pump. Both dehydration and low blood pH are now linked with high blood pressure.

How to reduce the impact of stress

There are two different approaches to reduceing the impact of stress, and both are impartant.        1 - Reduce the amount of the stress you experience: Reducing stress means just what it sounds like: reducing your total exposure to all forms of stress, whether psychological or physiological. Of course it's never possible to completely remove stress from our lives. But even in the most stressful of circumstances, it's still possible to reduce stress. Here are few guide lines for how to avoid this kind of stress

Learn to say "no". Know your limits, and don't take on projects or commintments you can't handle.

Avoid people who stress you out. You know the kind of people i am talking about. Drama kings and queens.People who are constantly taking and never giving. Limit your time with these people or avoid them completely.

Turn off the news ( or limit your exposure to it). If watching the world go up in flames stresses you out limit your exposure to the news, you will still find out what's going on and still be able to act as a concern citizen. But you will have more time to yourself. I am still well informed. the difference is I get to choose what I'm exposed to.

Give up pointless argument, Have you noticed that most arguments don't lead to change. In fact they tent to opposite effect-each side becomes more defended and entrenched in their worldview.Find other ways to get your point across, learn to listen with empathy, and don't waste precious time and energy trying to convert fundamentalist to your religion.

Escape the tyranny of your to-do list. Each day spend some time in the morning really considering what needs to be done that day. Drop inimportant tasks to the bottom of the list, even if you do not do them world will go on.

The second step in reducing the amount of stress you experience is to address any physiological problems that are taxing your adrenals. These causes include anemia, blood sugar swings, gut inflammation, food intolerance (especiallly gluten), essential fatty acid deficiencies and enviromental toxins. If you have one or more of these conditions, it's probably best to get help from a skilled practitioner.

Next blog is Mitigating the harmful effects of stress you can't avoid.

Ridvan Parlak

How does stress effect your body?

he short answer is "in every way imaginable".When stress becomes chronic and prolonged, the adrenal glands to release a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol is normally released in a specific rhythm throughout the day. It should be high in the mornings when you wake up( this helps you get out of bed and start your day), and gradually taper off throughout the day (so you fell tired at the bedtime and fall asleep).

Recent research shows that chronic stress can not only increase absolute cortisol levels, but more importantly it disrupts the natural cortisol rhythm. And it's broken cortisol rhythm that wreaks so much havoc on your body. Among other effects, it:

Raises your blood sugar, Weakens immune system, Makesw your gut leaky, Makes you hungary, and crave sugar, Reduces your ability to burn fat. Hormonal imbalances., Reduces your tetosterone and growth hormone level, Increases your belly fat and makes your liver fatty, Causes depression, anxiety and mood imbalances, Contributes to cardiovascular disease.

Most people doesn't need much convincing of this. You've witnessed the negative effects of stress firsthand, every day of your life. So the question is, What do you do about it ?

Manage Your Stress

Stress management is the most important out of all health topics. Why? Beacuse no matter what diet you fallow, how much you exercise and what supplements you take, if you are not managing your stress you will still be at risk for modern degenerative conditions like hearth disease, diabetes, hypothyroidism and autoimmunity.

You must have seen it people are fallowing perfect diet and yet they are still sick. Stress is often the cause. The truth is it's easier to make dietary changes and pop some pills than manage our stress. Stress management is hard. It forces us to slow down, to step back, to disengage from the electric current of modern life even just for only brief time. It asks us to pioritise self-care. We all struggle with stress management. You will sabotaj all your best efforts with diet, exercise and supplement.

What is Inoized Water ?

Ionized water (also refered to as electrolyzed water) is water has been exposed to an electric current which separetes the charged particles. During ionization, positively-charged ions are drawn to the positive electrode. Ions with a positive charge like calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium raise the pH and produce alkaline water. Negative ions including Phosphorous,Chlorine, sulfer lower the pH and produce acidic water are beneficial when used in specific ways. But ionization transforms the resulting water in ways that go beyond the separation of ions. There are three main changes that occur to water during the ionization process. These changes can be responsible for many health benefits when you use the water.

Three main changes:  1. pH     2. ORP ( Oxidation Reduction Potential)   3. Molecular Structure

Ionized water been used in Japan and Korea some hospital to heal diabetic ulcers, bed sores, psoriasis. and eczema. Not only were patients applying the water externally, they were drinking it for these and other conditions: arthritis, diabetes, gastritis, and blood disorders.

Ridvan Parlak

What are you drinking?

sn't water just water? Isn't bottled water just purified water? Not all water is the same , and bottled water may not be as healthy  as you think it is. The Media has been filled with reports about water contains, but rareley mentions the PH (Potencial Hydrogen) or ORP (Oxidition Revorse Potencial). You will be shockling suprised how acidic water you might be drinking, The PH that is considered to be normal for blood is beetween 7.3 and 7.45. Blood PH is indicator of how much oxygen available for your cells. Blood at a PH of 7.45 contains 65% more excess oxygen than blood at a PH of 7.3. Lack of oxygen and the resulting metabolic acidosis is acomponent of just about every disease we know. It is very crucial to keep our body slightly alkaline than acidic. Unfortunetly most of the bottled water we drink has lots of chemicals in order to stablise them for along period of time. Basicly we are drinking acidic water, which makes you more dehydrate.

Most of you may not even know!  what PH  is and what ORP is ? I will define the PH and ORF for my next Blog. For now Know that the + numbers for ORP means that liquid is oxidizing, and negative numbers means that it is anti-oxidant. PH is neutral at 7.0, acidic below that and alkaline above that.

When good sleep hygiene is not enough?

Before you consider taking any supplements and nutrients for sleep you should really look in to what the underlying cause of the problem. In general, though, magnesium is a good choice. Many people don't get enough. Melatonin is another commonly  used supplement for sleep aid. it is a great choice in lower doses for short term. Why? because melotonin is hormone. Taking any supplemental hormone can distrupt our natural regularity mechanism. This can create dependence over time and effects our overall health.

What I would recomend is for good night's sleep is managing stress during the day. If we run around like headless chicken all day, our nervous system overdrive, it is unrealistic to assume that we can switch off in minutes simply because we want it. Of course this is why sleeping pills are growing in popularity each year.

Action Summary,

Make Sleep priority. Allow beetween seven and eight hours for sleep each night.

Reduce your exposure to artifical light at night.

Don't go bed too hungry, or too full.

Get some rest assured program to improve your sleep.

Next Blog is all About how do we manage our stress!

We are not sick we are just thirsty?

I believe, most of us chroniclly dehyrated without even knowing it. If you have any of these symptons, You are most definetly dehydrated.

FATIGUE, CONSTIPATION, REFLUX, HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, CHOLESTROL, BREATHING PROBLEMS, WEIGHT GAIN, SKIN DISORDERS, LIVER, KIDNEY, BLADDER PROBLEMS, JOINT PROBLEMS, PREMATURE AGING

Most of us think dehydration is someting that would happen if they got lost in the desert and had to go without water for several days. Truth is that ongoing dehydration is more common than we think. Humans can not store water like camel.

Dehydration results when you do not replace all the water that is lost during each day activies. Chronich dehydration result s when small amount of water is not replaced day after day. To make the matters worse, many of us drink beverages containing caffeine, carbonated sugary drinks or alcohol. These subtances cause a net loss, rather than a gain of water in your body. if you are drinking caffeinated, carbonated sugary drinks  or alcoholic beverages are literally you are drinking yourself dry.

According to the Mayo clinic, The aveage adult loses more than 10 cups of wter every day simply breathing, perspiring, and elimating waste. When water is lacking, number of functions begin to curtailed. Headaches, constipation, brain fog, afternoon fatigue. and many other ailments are result of too little water. By the time any of these common symtoms arises, dehydratio has already progressed to the point where water is being rationed in your body. Long term water rationing leads to premature aging and disease.

Water rationing allows the body to provide water for crucial, life sustaining functions while the functions that are not crucial  are literally put on hold. Cell function best with a certain amount of water. when cellular water is reduced during water rationing, each cell is required to limp along with less than the optimal amount of water.

This result in symptoms that are sometimes mistaken for illness. Asthma, blood disorders, digestive disorders (including hearth burn), any many chronic pains are often an indication of chronic dehydration and water rationing.

How to get a good night's sleep

There are many ways to prevent sleeping disorders before we get into sleep medication. They are not without taking the risk including dependence, rebound insomnia, drawsiness, memory loss, bizzare sleep walking behaviour, change brain chemistry, and constipation and much more.       On the other hand, there is a point at which the harmful effects of sleep deprivation start to outweigh the potencial adverse effects caused by sleeping pills. this believe sleep meds should be used as alast resort, presuming all non-drug approches have failed once you get into extereme sleep debt. it can be diffucult to make it without some biochecimal assistance.

Reduce your exposure to articial light,

Don't be too full -or too hungary

Go to bed earlier

I will cover them at my next blog in more depth !!!

What Is The Big Deal About Water?!!!

Water is so simple that it is easy to overlook when you are consider the factors that determine health or illness. Water is the foundation of life. It makes up about 75% of your body. If you intent to have vibrant health, you must look into water a lot more closely.

Water is the basis for all your body fluids-including blood, lymph, and digestive fluids. it is critical for the transportation and absorption of nutrients, as well as for the elimination of waste. Water also regulates body temperature, it lubricates joints, it cushions organs, and it moistens tissues,These are the most obvious functions of water.

Water is critical at many other levels. it is involved in the transmission of signals throughout your body. When the amount or the quality of the water you drink is compromised, signals can become distorted or sort curcited.

Water also support our DNA and also the way water molecules are organised around DNA is an indicationof aging and disease. Water is the Largest single ource of energy for human body. its movement, into and out of cells, produces a significant amount of energy- that's why one of the first symptoms of dehydration is often fatigue.

Ridvan Parlak (Rudy)

Life in a fish bowl

Think of your enviroment as a fish bowl. If the water is not changed or filtered regularly, wastes build up and can eventually extinguish the life within. One of the first functions that is put on "hold" when water is lacking is detoxification - the on going removal of cellular waste and enviromental toxins.

All the detoxification pathway in the body (liver-colon-kidney -bladder,skin-sweat, lung-breath, and lymphatic system) require water. When water is not supplied in abundance, wastes build up in the fluid that surrounds each cell and all the detoxification pathways become sluggish. However, the body is ingeniouis. It always adapts. Under the stress of dehydration your body will find the places to store toxins where they will not immediately interfere with critical life processes. Toxins and wastes can end up in fatty tissue, in joints, and as deposits in arteries. in short term, life is preserved. but the long term consequences are obvious.

Drinking plenty of good water every day is like changing the water in your fish bowl. And as long as you need to drink water, you might as well get the best water is possible. For a variety of reasons, ionized water is being recognized by professional best choice.

When things fall apart: Sleep deprivation impacts your health

Any here is the thing, you can eat a perfect diet and take all the right supplements, but if you are not sleeping well and managing your stress, all bets are off.

Getting less than 6 hours sleep per day is associated with low-grade chornic inflammation and worsenining insulin resistance, as well as increased risk for obesity, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease(CVD). One-third of the western adults gets less than six hours of sleep.

Inadequate rest impairs our ability to think, to handle stress, to maintain a healthy immune system and to moderate our emotions, it's associated with hearth disease, hypertension, weight gain, diabetes, and wide range of psychiatric disorders including depression and anxiety.

I do firmly believe that lack of sleep and stress asre two of the biggesthealth challanges we face today. There is no doubt that a clean diet is the cornerstone of health, but it's much easier to make changes in diet than it is for them to improve their sleep and manage their stress.
